Built for how companies actually buy

Climate purchases cross sustainability, procurement, and finance. Our process is designed so those teams move together — shared definitions early, comparable scorecards mid-funnel, and retirement evidence at the end.

If you are new to carbon markets, we start with education on solar-backed credits. If you already have a policy, we jump to filtering inventory against your gates.

The path

Five steps from inquiry to evidence.

No mystery middle. Each stage has a clear output your internal stakeholders can review.

  1. 01

    Discovery & scoping

Output: Agreed volume range, vintage window, claim goals, and constraints.

We align on emissions boundary context, residual volume, reporting year, budget signals, and any geographic or standard preferences. If your team is new to credits, we explain solar-linked tonnes in plain language before talking inventory.

    • Residual vs reduction sequencing check
    • Spot vs offtake suitability
    • Who needs to approve internally
  2. 02

    Shortlist & Integrity scorecards

Output: Comparable solar options with scores, risks, and indicative pricing.

You receive solar projects that passed screening. Each comes with an Integrity Framework scorecard, available volume, vintage notes, and residual risks called out honestly — not buried in footnotes.

    • Five-domain scores for side-by-side review
    • Attribute / REC overlap notes
    • Delivery timing realism for your deadline
    How scoring works →
  3. 03

    Commercial agreement

Output: Signed terms for spot delivery or multi-year offtake.

Choose the structure that fits your roadmap. Contracts cover volume, price, vintage, delivery windows, transfer or retirement instructions, KYC requirements, and remedies if issuance slips.

    Spot

Near-term residuals, clearer inventory, faster path to retirement proof.

    Offtake

Multi-year volumes, planning visibility, delivery calendar agreed upfront.

  4. 04

    Transfer or retirement

Output: Serials + retirement certificates (or holdings in your account).

Credits move to your registry account or are retired directly on your behalf. You receive serial numbers, retirement confirmation, and supporting project references for your records.

    • Retirement in your organization’s name
    • Or transfer if you hold inventory yourself
    • Document pack stored for audit access
  5. 05

    Reporting & follow-through

Output: Claim-safe language and support for auditor or leadership questions.

Optional communication and audit packs help sustainability and finance describe the purchase without over-claiming. We remain available when leadership or external reviewers ask follow-ups.

    • Suggested disclosure elements (volume, vintage, standard)
    • Pointers to evidence, not vague adjectives
    • Help reconciling internal FAQ after publication

Timeline expectations

How long does each path usually take?

Exact timing depends on KYC, contract cycles, and issuance calendars. These are typical patterns we set expectations around.

Spot purchase timeline

Spot path

Faster when inventory is ready

Once scope and KYC are clear, available solar credits can move from shortlist to retirement on a compressed commercial timeline.

  • Best when reporting deadlines are near
  • Vintage and volume visible upfront
  • Speed still depends on your approvals
Offtake timeline planning

Offtake path

Planned around verification cycles

Forward volumes follow project monitoring and issuance calendars. We document delivery windows so finance is not surprised mid-year.

  • Best for multi-year residual roadmaps
  • Delivery remedies defined in contract
  • Expect staged milestones, not overnight tonnes

Policy gates

Accepted standards, vintage rules, geography allowlists, REC restrictions.

03

Deadline

When retirement proof must be available for reporting or assurance.

04

Approvers

Who signs commercially — and who signs off on public claim language.

05

Budget signal

Order-of-magnitude comfort so shortlists stay realistic.

Anything unresolved on net-zero wording, inventory boundaries, or prior purchases.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask first.

Do we need a registry account?

Not always. Many buyers ask INFINITNEX to retire credits directly in their name. Others prefer holding inventory in their own account. We support both paths.

How fast can credits be delivered?

Spot inventory can move quickly once KYC and contracts are complete. Forward offtake follows the project’s verification and issuance calendar — we set expectations upfront.

Can we review project documents?

Yes. Diligence packs and registry references are part of the process. Physical site visits depend on project and timing; document-level transparency is non-negotiable.

Are solar credits eligible for our net-zero claim?

Claim rules depend on the standard or pledge you follow. We help match credit quality and vintage to your framework — and we will say so if a requested claim looks unsafe.

What if we only want education first?

That is welcome. Many first conversations are explanatory. You can move to a shortlist only when your internal team is ready.

Where is INFINITNEX based?
